Who we are
This website, drsanya.com, is run by Dr. Sanya K Adhlakha, who offers tarot, astrology, numerology and healing consultations from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to clients around the world. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Dr. Sanya K Adhlakha. For any question about your personal information, write to hi@drsanya.com.
What we collect
- When you book a session: your name, email address and phone number, the session you choose, its date and time, your time zone, any notes you add, and the amount and status of your payment.
- When you write to us by email or through a contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
- When you visit the site: your IP address is used to work out which country you are in, so that the booking form shows prices in your currency (UAE dirham, Indian rupee or US dollar). Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Please share in a session only what you are comfortable sharing.
How we use it
- To arrange, confirm and deliver your session and to remind you of it.
- To take payment and keep payment records.
- To send the personalised remedies that some sessions include.
- To reply to your messages.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details into Stripe’s secure payment form and they go directly to Stripe. They are never stored on this website and we never see them. Stripe receives the amount, the currency, your name and your email address, and handles them under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Services we rely on
- Stripe, for card payments.
- Resend, to send booking confirmations and reminders by email.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and SMS, for appointment reminders, when these reminders are switched on and you have given a phone number.
- Google, for the calendar that holds our appointments and the Google Meet links for video sessions.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces of this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
Each provider uses your information only to provide its service to us.
Cookies
This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. While you book, the booking form keeps your choices in your browser so the steps carry over. Stripe’s script on the booking pages may set cookies to prevent fraud. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We keep messages for as long as the conversation needs them. After that we delete the information or make it anonymous.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we do not have to keep it by law. You can also object to how we use it or ask us to limit it. Write to hi@drsanya.com and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the EU or UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
International transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates. The providers listed above may process your information in other countries, including the United States. We use providers that protect personal information under their own terms.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
